Daryl McMahon was left to rue individual errors after Ebbsfleet's 2-2 draw with Havant & Waterlooville on Tuesday night.
Harry Medway's cross drifted all the way in for the Hawks opener and sloppy play by Matt Fish gifted them possession to score again after Fleet had fought back to lead 2-1.
McMahon said: "It’s frustrating because I thought they were two poor goals we conceded.
"The first one, we didn’t track the left-back from his own half and his cross, which has gone in, is a bit of a flukey one.
"The second goal we conceded was poor play from the midfield, giving the ball away cheaply and letting them counter on us.
"We’re shooting ourselves in the foot rather than making it hard for teams to score against us. We never seem to get an easy goal, we’ve got to work very hard for our goals and I think they’re two poor goals we conceded.
"The smallest details win you football matches. Giving the ball away in the middle of the pitch leaves you open to counters, especially when it’s one of your defenders doing it.
"It’s a poor goal to concede and it’s another hard one to take because we’ve more than done enough to win the game and we’ve just given two goals away.
"It’s just frustrating. There’s not many games I’ve come away from and thought we’ve been really poor. It’s individual errors or it’s a fluke goal sometimes.
"I don’t want to keep taking it on the chin but sometimes you’ve got to. We’re just making it hard work for ourselves."
This result followed Fleet's 0-0 draw at home to Hayes & Yeading on Saturday.
McMahon said: "It’s poor. You can’t have two home games and two points. Tuesday’s performance was pretty good but I did think we were particularly poor on Saturday.
"I take heart from the performance on Tuesday and we look forward to Saturday.
"We’re seven unbeaten now, more draws than I would have liked but I take heart from the performance and I’m delighted to see Kissock getting his first goal of the season. It was an outstanding goal and for Godden to get to 20 goals is key for him. He’s being going through a period of desperation to get to that 20 mark and he hasn’t quite got there. I think that might set him off again.
"It’s great to have Keds back. Joe Howe came back into the team and was terrific. Clarky’s back on the bench as well. Lewis and Rance, again, were terrific, so there’s loads of plusses for us and we’re looking forward to Saturday."
