MANAGER Liam Daish’s ruthless determination to put his own stamp on Gravesend’s squad has coincided with the club’s biggest cull of players in recent memory.
A week after releasing club captain Steve McKimm, Andy Drury, Jay Saunders, Bobby Bowry, Justin Skinner and Mark Rawle, the Fleet boss left himself with a colossal rebuilding task as another five players joined the exodus.
Out went goalkeeper Aaron Kerr, Ashley Fuller, Danny Glozier, Scott Gooding and long-serving club cult-hero Jimmy Jackson.
Their departures brought the total of released players to 11 in a bold gamble by the Daish as he confronts his second full season in charge.
Staying at the club is 25-year-old midfielder Danny Slatter who has agreed a new one-year deal.
