Josh Payne has agreed terms with Ebbsfleet United on a permanent basis.
The 29-year-old midfielder was a free agent after being released by parent club Crawley Town.
Payne spent the second part of the 2019/20 season on loan with Ebbsfleet, up until the season was cut-short. He made 22 league appearances during his stint at the club.
He scored in a 3-2 win at Sutton United and their FA Cup defeat to Notts County.
He’s played at all levels of English football, above the National League, starting with West Ham United where he made a couple of league appearances off the bench.
Permanent moves followed to then-Championship side Doncaster Rovers, Oxford United, Aldershot, Woking and Eastleigh before joining Crawley in 2016, where he went onto make close to 100 appearances in the league.
Payne is the sixth signing of the summer for new boss Dennis Kutrieb.
