THE futures of a number of Gravesend & Northfleet players will be sorted out shortly as the club set out the year's budget in the next few days.
Out-of-contract former Gillingham defender Adrian Pennock and last season's top scorer Che Stadhart, who has been on the transfer list for a number of months, are expected to have talks with club boss Andy Ford.
Ford said: “We will be sorting out these issues in the next couple of weeks. I will have a better idea at the end of the month about what kind of squad I will have for next season.
“I'm not sure what will happen with Che but Adrian likes the club and is happy here. We know that he can't play two games every week because of his knee problem but his experience has been very important.”
After avoiding relegation from the Conference on the final day of the campaign, Ford knows he faces a difficult job securing a second season in the division for the club.
However, the Fleet manager believes his team will have learnt a lot during a campaign when they suffered a long list of injuries and had nine players sent off during games
He said: “It seems strange to celebrate finishing just above the relegation zone but, after all the things we have had to put up with, it's a massive achievement."
