Daryl McMahon says his Ebbsfleet players are desperate to be crowned champions as the National League South season enters its final third.
Fleet travel to fifth-placed Truro on Saturday knowing their destiny is firmly in their own hands after opening up a 12-point lead at the top.
And boss McMahon has praised the desire of his squad to finish the job they started last summer.
He said: "Everyone knows what’s at stake now. We’re getting into the final stages of the season.
"The group is desperate to be successful. It’s shown that to me behind closed doors from July 1 and it’s shown it here and in the away games as well that everybody is driven to do well.
"We’ve got 10 points from the last four games which is good and we look to build on it.
"We’ve got a difficult game on Saturday going to Truro and then we’re at home three times in a row. Every game’s a challenge from now until the end of the season.
"Every time we play a game it’s always harder because it’s us. Sitting where we’re sitting, we’re the team to be shot at."
Ebbsfleet conceded a stoppage-time equaliser at Oxford City on Saturday but responded by winning 1-0 at home to St Albans on Tuesday night.
McMahon said: "Saturday was a real setback and there was a downer in the changing-room because they didn’t deserve what happened. To bounce back is credit to the boys.
"There’s nothing worse than when you concede a late goal. We’ve done it at the other end this season, scored late winners and it feels like you’ve got six points when you do that."
