Daryl McMahon has promised in-form Ebbsfleet will get after Wrexham in Saturday’s big promotion clash.
Hosts Fleet are on their best run at this level for 10 years and have climbed to the brink of the play-offs after four straight wins.
By contrast, six draws in their last seven games have seen Wrexham slide from top to sixth.
McMahon said: “Wrexham have been up there all season and they’re a massive club. Dean Keates (manager) has done a great job but we’ve got nothing to lose.
“There’s not a lot expected of us whereas they’ve been in and among it all year. It’s a game we can go and enjoy.
“They’re in a period where they need more wins but we can take the shackles off.”
Ebbsfleet, who won 1-0 at Hartlepool on Saturday, also beat Solihull, Halifax and Woking during February.
McMahon said: “Hartlepool, Wrexham and Leyton Orient (who Fleet visit next weekend) are three big ex-League clubs and they’re expected to be competing.
“Wrexham have made a good signing in Simon Ainge from Harrogate, they’ve got Scott Quigley who’s getting goals and Marcus Kelly is a good player in midfield.
“They’re a good side but we are as well on our day. I’m sure everybody will say Wrexham have had a good season but we’re five points behind them and we’ll see what happens on Saturday.
“We certainly took the shackles off against Hartlepool and we intend to do the same against Wrexham and Leyton Orient.”
McMahon hailed the Fleet fans for their support at Hartlepool and called for more of the same on Saturday.
He said: “They’ve been terrific. I’m sure they’ll be delighted with the last four games.
“They can see how hard the team’s working, especially those fans who travelled to Hartlepool and Halifax. They’ve seen committed performances from us and now they get Wrexham at home and Orient away, brilliant games for our fans.
“In the last four years we’ve been in Conference South and before that they were relegated from the Conference so for us now to enjoy these games in the run-in is massive and they deserve it.
“They were brilliant at Hartlepool. We could hear them from start to finish. There were 2,800 in the stadium and our 100 were the noisiest.
“It makes a massive difference for any team. If you can be an aggressive team, which I think we are, especially at home, with and without the ball, and you can get some noise behind that, it’s difficult to come up against.”
Lawrie Wilson could return to the squad against Wrexham.
