Ebbsfleet haven’t won back-to-back league games for more than five months and that has to change this weekend.
Not since October have the Fleet taken six points from six and that inconsistency has sucked the life out of their promotion hopes.
But having won 2-1 at Vanarama Conference South leaders Bromley last weekend, Jamie Day’s side have a great chance to add another three points.
The visitors to Stonebridge Road on Saturday are lowly Maidenhead, who haven’t won on the road since October.
Day said: "Since I’ve been here, we’ve not won two games in a row and that’s something you need to do if you want to get to where we want to be.
"We’ve got to keep winning. That’s all I can ask of the boys. They’re working hard in training and taking on board what we’re saying.
"We’ve got the top sides still to play, so if we keep playing like we did on Saturday, we’ll give ourselves a chance."
Day described the Bromley win as his team’s best performance since he was appointed manager in December.
He said: "It’s one game but it backs up what I see on a regular basis. We just need to get that into three points.
"I know what the players are capable of doing – now it’s down to us to bring that from training into the games and be consistent in our performances."
