Scarborough v Gravesend & Northfleet

GRAVESEND boss Andy Ford hopes Manny Omoyinmi will have recovered from a hamstring strain in time to face Scarborough on Saturday.

The Fleet have failed to take maximum points in the league since the beginning of October and make the long trip north in search of a much-needed victory.

Ford is scouting for a striker at the moment and is hopeful the squad may have some added firepower ahead of the weekend.

Having clinched the signing of former Republic of Ireland international defender Paul McCarthy, Ford has allowed centre-back Lee Shearer to extend his loan at Dover for another month.

He has also allowed midfielder Tom Davis to join Conference South club St Albans for a month on loan.

Meanwhile, Gravesend came out of the hat smiling following the FA Trophy, third round draw as they were paired at home to Eastbourne Borough of the Nationwide Conference South on Saturday, January 15.

Ford said: "I’ve no complaints because you cannot ask any more than for a home draw.”
