Three straight away defeats have left Ebbsfleet United desperately needing a result at Hayes & Yeading this weekend.
Steve Brown’s side lost 3-2 at Weston-super-Mare on Tuesday night after conceding a stoppage-time winner. That followed 1-0 defeats at Whitehawk and Basingstoke, leaving the title favourites without a point on the road so far.
Fleet are 10th in Vanarama Conference South – having played a game less than several of the teams above them – but their away form simply has to improve.
Brown said: "It would settle everybody down. It becomes something people talk about, so the sooner we can stop that angle of attack from people, having that statistic thrown at us, the better.
"We want to get a result from every game, so it’s not about there being more or less pressure on this one. Every team wants to up their game against us and we have to respond.
"I don’t want anyone to start panicking."
Saturday’s game will be played at Maidenhead United’s York Road ground, where Hayes & Yeading are groundsharing this season.
Ebbsfleet captain Daryl McMahon’s suspension continues on Saturday, while Shane Huke, Michael Corcoran, Alex Osborn and Chris Sessegnon are all injury doubts.
