Ebbsfleet chairman Brian Kilcullen has called on the club’s FA Trophy following to return to Stonebridge Road next season.
More than 25,000 people were decked out in Ebbsfleet colours at Wembley and Kilcullen is hoping just a small fraction return to support Liam Daish’s side.
He said: “Obviously it was a special day for anyone involved with the club. I was determined to enjoy it whether we’d won or lost.
“I’ve watched the game back on television and when you see the crowd it is very exciting. They made a lot of noise and I know Liam and the players got a buzz out of the support they received on the day.
“I know a lot of people won’t come back next season but I’m hoping a lot will. It’s a good standard of football and perhaps people don’t realise how good we are.”
Kilcullen remains confident about the future and believes the club’s FA Trophy victory could act as a springboard for further success.
He added: “We’ve now got a stronger basis than we’ve ever had. The new owners will be able to sit down and plan how the club goes forward. There are a lot of competitive people around our football club who don’t want to stop here. They want to take it further.”
