Ebbsfleet boss Daryl McMahon has insisted his team are mentally strong enough to cope with the race for the title.
The Fleet are three points behind leaders Maidenhead with just six games left in National League South.
They travel to Maidenhead in the penultimate game of the season but McMahon says they are ready to handle the challenges ahead.
“I’ve got a mentally-strong group,” said McMahon, who saw his side lose ground after being held at Hampton on Saturday.
“It’s 12 wins and two draws after we were 11 points behind Maidenhead on Boxing Day.
“You don’t win that many games and come back in some of those games, like Weston, without having mental strength and good players.
“We’ve shown it at Hampton. But there’s loads of things (needed, including) quality and work ethic.”
Fleet’s home form has been faultless of late, winning their last eight games at Stonebridge Road and scoring 26 goals.
But they’ve needed to show other sides of their game on the road, including the draw at Hampton when substitute Bradley Bubb rescued a point in the 90th minute.
“You have to have both sides,” said McMahon, when talking about his side’s ability to grind out results.
“It’s important, especially at this stage of the season when the pitches are going to be bobbly and you still need to get a result."
Fleet will aim to close the gap on Maidenhead this weekend as they host lowly Welling while their rivals make a tough-looking trip to Bath.
McMahon said: “We can’t affect anything but the next game. There’s no point thinking of something in two weeks’ time.”
