Crawley v Gravesend & Northfleet
GRAVESEND and Northfleet manager Andy Ford has spoken of his side’s desperation to get a win during their tough festive period.
Fleet travel to Crawley on Boxing Day looking to end a dreadful run without a win which now stretches to 12 games.
Ford said: "We are desperate for something. We need a little bit of luck but when you’re on a bad run things seem to go against you.
"We’ve got some tough fixtures coming up. Crawley train three times a week and they have done very well at home but we need to get a result."
Fleet host sixth-placed Accrington two days later.
Ford’s defensive options may be looking brighter ahead of their trip to the South Coast with Zeljko Popovic pressing for a return after injury and Justin Skinner is back after a ban.
Manny Omoyinmi and Graham Porter remain on the sidelines, while Moussa Sidibe’s ankle will have to be assessed following a knock within five minutes of coming onto the field at Hereford.
Defender Paul McCarthy should play despite missing training this week.
