Daryl McMahon guided Ebbsfleet to victory on the final day of the season to end a turbulent week that saw the club sack Jamie Day.
Former Welling boss Day as only in charge of the Fleet for five months but gained few victories as comfortable as this.
McMahon made two major changes from Day's last line-up, dropping Danny Kedwell to the bench and Luke Rooney was not named among the substitutes.
Former Dartford and Dover defender Tom Bonner had an effort ruled out for offside before Fleet went ahead on 20 minutes when Michael West's corner was turned in by Matt Johnson via a deflection.
Confidence returned to the Fleet players and they started to pass and move to good effect. It needed a goalline clearance from Anthony Acheampong to keep them ahead but they doubled their lead before half-time when Matt Godden set up Adam Cunnington to score from close range.
The third goal arrived a minute into the second half when Aiden Palmer found skipper Stuart lewis who ignored the unmarked Sean Shields and fired home from long range himself.
Cunnington claimed his second and Fleet's fourth 10 minutes after the break when he beat the offside trap and rounded the keeper before scoring.
Kedwell came off the bench to nearly add a fifth but the Fleet eased to the final whistle and finish the season in eighth place.
