Fleet sink in friendly

GRAVESEND & Northfleet produced an under-par performance in their latest pre-season friendly as they lost 3-2 at Bromley on Saturday.

The Fleet got off to the perfect start when Paul Booth smashed a fierce shot home from the edge of the box after cutting inside from the left.

Although Bromley equalised before half-time, Andy Ford's side should have regained their advantage when they were awarded a spot kick, but Che Stadhart wasted the chance by hitting the post.

The home side went 2-1 up before Gravesend trialist Adolf Amukua netted his fourth goal in two games with an overhead kick but Bromley weren't to be denied as they grabbed the winner in stoppage time.

On the same day, a Gravesend XI defeated Sittingbourne 2-0.
