Kidderminster Harriers 2 Ebbsfleet United 1
Ebbsfleet United dropped to 11th in the Blue Square Premier after their 2-1 defeat at Kidderminster Harriers on Tuesday night.
But it could have been a different story had Dean Coleman in the Harriers goal not enjoyed an inspired evening.
The result leaves Fleet 12 points off the play-offs but with two games in hand.
Harriers took the lead inside four minutes when Iyseden Christie fired home from 18 yards.
The hosts doubled their advantage just seven minutes later through Russell Penn’s left-footed drive from the edge of the penalty area.
Fleet responded in spectacular fashion with a rasping drive from 35 yards by Charley Hearn which gave Coleman no chance. It was the midfielder’s first goal in an Ebbsfleet shirt.
