Aldershot v Gravesend & Northfleet
GRAVESEND manager Liam Daish has urged striker Onome Sodje to carry on scoring at Aldershot on Saturday following his weekend hat-trick.
The 17-year-old schoolboy, who is on a season-long loan from Charlton, returned to play for the Addicks’ under-18 side at Ipswich where he retrieved a 2-0 half-time deficit with a second-half treble in a 3-2 success.
Daish said: "I hope the hat-trick will do his confidence the world of good. He should be on fire and I hope he takes that form into the Aldershot game.
"I would like to think that playing against men in the Conference has helped develop his game. I’m sure Charlton felt the benefit of that against Ipswich."
Sodje may find himself alongside Charlton club-mate Adam Cottrell at Aldershot, where the 18-year-old defender could make his Fleet debut following his arrival a week ago.
Cottrell is part of a fully-fit squad that go to the Recreation Ground looking to put behind them a winless October.
