Ebbsfleet United's Shilow Tracey has been offered a trial by Tottenham Hotspur.
The 17-year-old midfielder will spend a week training with the Premier League club.
Tracey has been attracting interest from several professional clubs but Ebbsfleet manager Daryl McMahon was keen to make sure the opportunity was right for his player.
McMahon told the Fleet website: "Shilow has made a very impressive start to the season, as have a number of our other young contracted players. A number of clubs have spoken to us about him in recent days and we have given permission for him to trial with Spurs.
"The fact that a Premier League club is interested in one of our players says a lot about the quality of the coaching and management the boys are receiving and it reflects well on our academy set-up.
"Clearly we want Ebbsfleet United to benefit from the development of young players but this is a great opportunity for the player and I am confident Shilow will acquit himself well."
McMahon, who used to work at the Tottenham academy, launched the Fleet academy just over two years ago and he still oversees the programme, which is now run by coaches Gerard Prenderville, Stacy Long and Osei Sankofa.
Tracey's only senior appearance for Ebbsfleet so far came as a substitute in their Kent Senior Cup tie against Charlton in September 2014.
He scored for Ebbsfleet's under-18s in their 3-1 FA Youth Cup win over Maidstone this week, helping set up a trip to Gillingham in the first round proper on Tuesday, November 3.
