Dominic Green has signed for Ebbsfleet United just in time for their Skrill South opener at home to Havant & Waterlooville on Saturday.
The 24-year-old winger impressed during his five appearances for the Fleet in pre-season. Manager Steve Brown this week revealed he had offered Green a contract, but admitted other clubs in the division were chasing him too.
But the former Dagenham & Redbridge player, who played five times for Dartford during a loan spell last season, opted for a permanent return to north Kent.
Brown said: "Dominic has got better as he's got fitter. I'd like to think he sees what's going on at Ebbsfleet and the style we're playing and that he fits into that."
Green played 12 times for Dagenham last season, which was his third at Victoria Road. He left the Daggers in August 2008 when Peterborough United paid an undisclosed fee for his services, before returning to east London three years later.
He has also played non-league football on loan at Thurrock, Rushden & Diamonds and St Neots Town.
Green is the 19th player Brown has signed since he was appointed Fleet boss in June.
His arrival at the club comes a day after winger Chris Sessegnon and striker Alex Osborn agreed deals at Stonebridge Road.
