Lewes v Ebbsfleet

Winger Ricky Shakes is Ebbsfleet’s only injury doubt ahead of their trip to Lewes in the Blue Square Premier on Bank Holiday Monday.

Shakes picked up a foot injury in Fleet’s 4-0 win over Stevenage and was forced to withdraw after just 13 minutes.

Manager Liam Daish said: “Ricky took a nasty kick to the ball of his foot. He’s obviously walking on it but he’s got a crutch there to help.

“It would be nice to back up Saturday’s result and get another three points.

“It’s going to be hard. We enjoyed Saturday but we haven’t got long to enjoy it as we have got to be focused for Monday’s match.”

Elsewhere, Gary MacDonald has left the club by mutual agreement.

The 29-year-old defender, who joined Fleet in June 2007 and who picked up a FA Trophy winner's medal after coming on as a second half substitute against Torquay, picked up an achillles injury on his competitive debut and was sidelined for four months.

Since then, the former Portsmouth, Peterborough United and Havant & Waterlooville player has found it difficult to hold down a first team place.
