Garry Hill could be short of numbers when he takes Ebbsfleet to Aldershot on Saturday.
Dave Winfield and Andy Drury are struggling with injuries while Chris Bush picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw at Maidenhead.
Dean Rance is still out while three other players left the club this week.
Long-serving Kenny Clark is now at Dagenham while Sean Shields and Darren McQueen have joined Maidstone and Sutton respectively.
Hill said: “Certain things have gone on over the last few days but we don’t mope about that.
“There’s a reason why things get done at football clubs.
“It’s going to be interesting over the next few days, what we’ve got and what we haven’t got. We’ll have a roll call in respect of bodies and numbers and we go from there.”
Ebbsfleet are up to 10th in the National League, eight points off the play-offs, having gone six games unbeaten.
They’re playing well but Hill’s main job is redressing the balance of his squad.
He said: “We had five centre-halves at the club, 10 midfield players and two forwards.
“We’ve got to get a balance in our squad to work within a structure financially which is right for the stability and wellbeing of the football club.”
Hill now has three strikers after bringing in former Gillingham favourite Cody McDonald.
He said: “We only had Michael Cheek and Danny Kedwell so the opportunity to work with Cody until the end of the season gives us an opportunity to monitor the situation – as well as Cody.”
