Fleet's losing run goes on

Weymouth 2 Ebbsfleet United 0

EBBSFLEET suffered their third straight defeat as they went down 2-0 at Weymouth in the Blue Square Premier on Saturday.

The home side took the lead on 38 minutes when Conal Platt's corner was headed in by Stuart Beavon.

The goal came after a spell of pressure that had seen Beavon hit the inside of the post and returning Fleet keeper Lance Cronin twice deny Anton Robinson with superb saves.

The points were wrapped up six minutes from time when Jefferson Louis's free-kick breached the Ebbsfleet wall and beat Cronin.

Ebbsfleet: Cronin, Slatter, Goodhind, McCarthy, Opinel, Purcell (Long h-t), Bostwick, DeBolla (Eribenne 81), Coleman (Nade h-t), McPhee, Moore.
