GRAVESEND & Northfleet manager Andy Ford has opened negotiations with the club's board of directors over a full-time contract for next season.
The move is seen as a prelude to the club moving to full-time football which chairman Brian Kilcullen believes can be completed in two seasons’ time - finances permitting.
Meanwhile, all women and girls will be admitted free for the Fleet’s home game against Tamworth on Saturday.
Ladies’ Day is part of the FA and Nationwide Supporters of Tomorrow initiative.
The first 100 women through the turnstiles will receive special gift bags containing perfumes, shampoo, soaps, books, pens and a selection of other items. There will also be the chance to win a new KIA car in a competition that starts this week. At half-time there will be a match between two local girls’ teams.
Fleet's chief executive Glenn Aitken, said: "Following on the heels of the successful England versus Ireland ladies’ international, which we hosted last week, this is a clear indication of the club’s commitment to encourage a strong female presence in football for the future."
