YOUNG striker Liam Hatch (dead leg) is the only doubt as Gravesend and Northfleet travel to Bedford Town on Saturday looking for the three points that would guarantee their promotion into the Conference for the first time since 1980-81.

Otherwise manager Andy Ford looks set to select the same squad that lost 1-0 at home to Boreham Wood last weekend.

Ford said: "We know it's a big game but if we take the approach that it's another away game that we need to win then we should be all right.

"At this stage of the season every match is a cup final but there is no point worrying about it because that wouldn't do me or the team any good."

The Fleet boss stressed: "We are in a position where we shouldn't be. No disrespect to the players at this club, or the management, but we shouldn't be top of the league.

"We can't compete financially with some of the teams in this division. But now we're here we want to take it and we're good enough to take it."

Club skipper Jimmy Jackson admitted: "We had enough chances against Boreham Wood to win four or five games but we were unlucky. We just need the rub of the green to get that first goal and then it will open the floodgates.

"It's a cup final. It's as simple as that. If we get an early goal to settle us down, I think we will go there and win by two or three goals."
