Former Ebbsfleet boss Danny Searle is back in football management.
Searle was sacked as Fleet manager on September 9 after picking up just one point from their first seven National League games.
But he’s returned to the dugout three months later after agreeing to take over at Isthmian Premier outfit Hastings United.
“I’m delighted to be here, it’s a club with huge potential, a great fan base and a group of players that are capable of climbing the table,” said Searle.
“I’ve met with the board and their passion for the club is the reason I am here.”
Searle takes over Hastings with the club occupying the fourth and final relegation spot in the table. They sit 19th with 16 points from 17 games ahead of Searle’s first game in charge – at Chichester on Saturday.
Hastings chairman Dean White added: “I am excited with the appointment and I am looking forward to watching Danny work with the players and take us forward on the pitch.
“With well over half the season remaining there is still much to play for and it is important we all get behind the team.”
Searle took over at Ebbsfleet after the club sacked Dennis Kutrieb at the end of January. He helped Ebbsfleet retain their National League status with a final-day draw at Boreham Wood.
