Ebbsfleet United have signed midfielder Mark Gower on a short-term deal until the end of the season.
The 36-year-old has been brought in as cover for Dean Rance, who turned his ankle in Tuesday's FA Trophy win over Braintree and will be out for several weeks.
Gower was a free agent, having played seven times for Charlton in the Championship last season.
He started his career at Tottenham and went on to play for Barnet before helping Southend climb from League 2 to the Championship.
Gower won the Championship play-offs with Swansea and played in the Premier League under Brendan Rodgers.
He could make his Ebbsfleet debut away to North Ferriby in the FA Trophy quarter-finals on Saturday.
