Ebbsfleet manager Dennis Kutrieb would prefer a home tie in the next round of the FA Cup - but ultimately says he isn’t too fussed about who they’re drawn against.
The Fleet beat Dover, also of National League South, 2-0 to progress to the Third Qualifying Round with a ninth straight victory this season thanks to a goal in either half from top scorer Dominic Poleon and defender Sido Jombati.
While Kutrieb would like another tie at Stonebridge Road for his in-form outfit to look forward to, having seen the club pick up £3,375 in prize money for their win on Saturday over Andy Hessenthaler’s men, he isn’t too concerned about who they are drawn against tomorrow in the Third Qualifying Round.
He said: “I don’t care. I would love to have a home game again, everything else doesn’t matter.
“It’s always good to have teams which are below you. It’s always a risk but I like it more in general, rather than having teams in your league because you play them twice and don’t really need to play them a third time!
“I’m still new so I like to play new teams to see what they’re doing, how they approach things and all these things but, at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter because you can’t pick it anyway.
“We just take it as it comes and, hopefully, it’s a home game.”
The Fleet made the FA Cup First Round last term and they are now two victories away from reaching the same stage when Football League clubs will enter the draw.
