Ebbsfleet’s long-term injury victims will get a chance to prove themselves to manager Jamie Day.
Midfielder Michael West has been out for almost a year with knee ligament damage and defender Aiden Palmer is midway through a 12-week recovery period for a knee problem.
Meanwhile, striker Charlie Sheringham has only just resumed light training having undergone a groin operation in December.
Day has let eight players leave the club in the last fortnight as part of his squad shake-up but won’t make any decision about the trio’s futures until they are fit.
He said: "Westy’s someone that I’ve seen in the past and whenever we (Welling) played against him, he did well. He’s still five weeks away from where we want him to be.
"Charlie did some light training the other day but will be three weeks still.
"Aiden, hopefully, will get fit before the end of the season.
"With those type of players, we want to give them some game time – if we’re in a position to be able to do that.
"If not, we’ll have to review it and people like Aiden – if they don’t get some game time – we’ll have to invite them back in pre-season.
"I want to give people an opportunity. It’s not their fault they’re injured."
The arrival of strikers Danny Kedwell, Adam Cunnington and Tyrone Marsh in recent weeks has certainly given Fleet’s forward line a different look.
Ben May and Billy Bricknell joined Bromley and Maidstone last week after being told they weren’t in Day’s plans, although fellow front man Matt Godden – who’s also been injured lately – has stayed.
Day said: "Hopefully we’ll get Matt back and then we can assess him more.
"If the injured ones don’t get a chance, I don’t think I’ve been fair on them."
