Manager Dennis Kutrieb is happy his Ebbsfleet side get an immediate chance to bounce back from their heavy weekend defeat.
The Fleet travel to Maidstone on Tuesday night on the back of a 5-1 loss with 10 men at National League South leaders Dorking Wanderers last Saturday.
“I said it’s just three points, we have another chance on Tuesday to come back,” stated the Fleet boss.
“That’s the good thing about football, normally you can come back after a few days, and you don’t have to wait a long time. Maybe in other sports or the Olympics you have to wait four years to make it better but we just have to wait a few days and then we are back on track.
“I’m very confident, I’m happy we can play again on Tuesday, you don’t want to wait to make it better.
“It's a completely different game. The (Dorking) game is gone, I said to the boys straight away ‘let it go’. On Tuesday we start 11 v 11 and we have enough players in the squad that are available so I’m not concerned at all.
“We can make changes for Tuesday and that’s what we will do. We have a big squad and are capable of doing it.”
Sido Jombati and Rakish Bingham both failed to finish the 90 minutes at Dorking due to injury.
Fleet keep their injury list close to their chest but Greg Cundle came off at Hemel Hempstead earlier this month and didn’t feature against Dorking while midfielder Christian N’Guessan was another notable absentee at the weekend having started the previous five matches.
Former Gillingham defender Joe Martin has not played since November while Will Wood and Michael West have also not featured for a number of weeks.
Kutrieb, however, insisted that he has a fully-fit squad from which to choose from.
“We’ll train on Sunday with the rest of the squad, they are all available and it doesn’t matter who is not available because of injury (from Saturday),” he stated following the Dorking defeat.
“If you are down to 10 men and suffer with injuries or not being 100 per cent fit because of a niggle or whatever then we make a decision to take them off straight away.
“We didn’t want to risk anything, we have many important games upcoming and we play Tuesday and Saturday (for the next few weeks). We couldn’t risk losing too many players.”
