Joydens Wood finally ended their miserable run of form in the Gravesend League with a first league win in two seasons.
The Division 2 strugglers were at home to FC Stone on Saturday and fought back to turn a 3-2 half-time deficit into a 5-3 victory – their first three-point haul for 30 matches. Ross Hunt (2), Dan Radford, Michael Scates and Chris Prountzos were their goalscorers.
Culverstone United’s David Morris started the year in style with six goals against Fleetway Printers. Jon Knott was also on target in a 7-0 success.
AFC Welsh Tavern Reserves beat bottom side Meopham Reserves 4-2. Colin Rickman, Mark Cooper, Lewis Bevan and Dave Collard were all on target, with Darren Grix and Jamie Dorkin replying.
