St Albans City 2 Gravesend & Northfleet 3
A STUNNING injury-time volley from Mark DeBolla gave Gravesend all three points at St Albans City on Saturday.
The home side looked to have earned a point after pulling level from two goals down until DeBolla lashed in his sixth goal of the season from the edge of the area.
Fleet took the lead five minutes into the second half when Charlie MacDonald was adjudged to have been fouled by Lee Flynn after excellent work by substitute George Purcell. MacDonald made no mistake from the spot for his eighth of the campaign.
It was 2-0 just before the half hour mark when MacDonald netted again from the penalty spot after St Albans keeper Paul Bastock had brought down Luke Moore.
The home side were awarded a spot-kick of their own with 14 minutes to play when Purcell was penalised for handball and Tom Davis beat Lance Cronin from 12 yards.
And it seemed St Albans had claimed a point when Paul Hakim netted an 89th-minute equaliser, but DeBolla had other ideas.
Gravesend: Cronin, J Smith, Hawkins, R Smith, Ricketts, Slatter, Keeling (Purcell 17), DeBolla, Keeling, Moore (Sodje 74), MacDonald
Subs not used: Mott, Ekoku, Coleman.
