Northfleet racer Brett Lidsey returns to action this weekend after a two-month break.
The 28-year-old competes in the third race of the Nurburgring Endurance Series in Germany on Saturday.
Competing at GT4 level for the first time this season, the Sorg Rennsport racer was in podium contention in the first two rounds and has shown excellent pace in his BMW M4.
Lidsey has been handed the chance to test at the track on Friday and intends to take full advantage.
He said: “The challenge is always so much bigger when you can’t test, so I’m delighted the guys at Sorg are giving me the opportunity to get some more seat time in the Friday test – we’re aiming to make the most of that.
“We’ve been quick and competitive from the off this season in GT4, even without the extra track time the others have had, so I really am looking forward to having the benefit of the test.
“It’ll be especially important after eight weeks of no track action. So far we’ve been hampered by bad luck, without that we know we’ve had the car and the pace to fight for the podium.”
