Havant & Waterlooville 1 Gravesend & Northfleet 2
STACY LONG'S first goal for Gravesend sent them into the FA Trophy second round at the expense of Conference South side Havant & Waterlooville on Saturday.
Long collected the ball after a deflection had left the home keeper stranded and chipped into the net for the 85th minute winner.
The Fleet opened the scoring on 21 minutes when Liam Coleman seemed to get the slightest of touches on Sacha Opinel's corner to divert the ball into the net.
But the home side were back on terms in controversial circumstances eight minutes before half-time.
Gravesend's defence stopped after Rob Quinn went down with what looked like a head injury, but the referee allowed the game to continue and Rocky Baptiste took advantage to beat keeper Lance Cronin.
* Welling United must replay their first round tie against Conference South strugglers Basingstoke Town after a goalless draw at Park View Road.
Jamie Day was sent off for Adrian Pennock's side.
