More new signings are imminent at Ebbsfleet and the club’s management will use this weekend to look at potential targets.
National South leaders Fleet don’t have a game on Saturday because their scheduled opponents Maidenhead are in FA Trophy action.
They’ve already signed winger Anthony Cook and defender Bryan van den Bogaert since the start of December and more new faces could be on the way.
Ebbsfleet boss Daryl McMahon: "We’re looking to bring players in this month.
"I’ll watch a game this weekend as will all the staff to have a look at who we’re coming up against and maybe players we want to bring in."
Fleet are six points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand, so is McMahon’s transfer business now geared for the National League next season?
"Yes and no," he said. "The calibre of player we’ve already got here can play at the next level anyway.
"We’d always look to bring a player in with that in mind but they’ve got to be good enough to come into the team and affect us because it is all about the now.
"It’s not about what could happen or what might happen, it’s about us trying to achieve promotion. The players that we do bring in will have to go and help with that."
Two players who won’t feature for Ebbsfleet between now and April are winger Robbie Willmott and midfielder Theo Lewis.
Willmott, one of McMahon’s summer signings, has joined Bishop’s Stortford on loan until the end of the season having not started a league game since September.
Meanwhile, Lewis – who injured his knee at the start of pre-season and hasn’t played a single minute for Fleet in 2015-16 – is staying on loan at Havant & Waterlooville until the end of the season.
