Former Ebbsfleet boss Daryl McMahon has done his old club a favour.
McMahon, now in charge at Dagenham, has allowed left-winger James Dobson to join Fleet on a season-long loan.
The former Oxford United scholar, 28, made his name over two spells at Slough, scoring 62 goals in 185 appearances in his second stint as the Rebels won promotion to National League South.
He won the golden boot in successive seasons before stepping up to the National League with Sutton in January 2019, joining for an undisclosed fee after starring against them in an FA Cup upset.
He went on to land a two-year deal at Dagenham last summer, signed by ex-Gills boss Peter Taylor.
Dobson played 22 times for the Daggers but finished the season on loan at Hemel Hempstead after McMahon succeeded Taylor in January.
He's the 15th new arrival at Stonebridge Road in a busy summer for boss Dennis Gutrieb.
"New challenge! Looking forward to it," tweeted Dobson.
