Gravesend & Northfleet 3 Northwich Victoria 0
STRIKER Charlie MacDonald scored two goals as Gravesend saw off Northwich Victoria at Stonebridge Road on Thursday to keep their slim Conference play-off hopes alive.
MacDonald was on hand to open the scoring for the Fleet from close range three minutes before half-time, then added a second from the penalty spot before the break after Mark Robert's had handballed.
And MacDonald was also involved in the third goal as his pass set up Luke Moore to finish from the edge of the box.
Liam Daish's side sit in seventh place, three points behind Exeter and York, who occupy the final two play-off positions.
Gravesend face a home match against St Albans on Saturday.
Daish will be hoping his side can inflict a 26th defeat of the season on the already-relegated club.
He said: "It will be all about getting the job done. Everyone has got to do their own job and help others do theirs."
