Maria Ruberto dominated the penultimate round of her electric karting championship.
The Gravesend schoolgirl enjoyed a clean sweep in the bambino class at Thruxton, qualifying on pole and winning both heats and the final.
She also scored an extra five points after setting the fastest lap in the final, and has regained the lead in the Total Zero Championship standings, having been hit by mechanical problems at Stretton last time out.
Ruberto, seven, said: “I really enjoyed going back to Thruxton as it is one of my favourite tracks - it is quite technical and has a bridge and a hill on the circuit which makes it really fun.
“I’m looking forward to the last round of the championship at Rowrah (September 25-26).”
Ruberto was back in her petrol-powered kart at the weekend, finishing second at Rye House, to consolidate her lead in the IKR standings.
