Marksman MacDonald misses Crawley clash

MacDONALD: damaged knee ligaments
MacDONALD: damaged knee ligaments

Gravesend v Crawley

GRAVESEND & Northfleet are certain to be without injured top-scorer Charlie MacDonald as they attempt to end a run of two successive goalless draws in tonight's re-arranged home game against relegation-threatened Crawley at Stonebridge Road.

MacDonald, who is suffering from damaged knee ligaments, has been sadly missed by goal-shy Fleet.

Manager Liam Daish admitted: "We're missing him but we don't want to rush him back. Week by week he's edging closer to full fitness."

The Fleet have extended the loan of left-back Robert Watkins from Premier League Fulham for a further two months.

Daish said: "Robert has settled in quickly and looks a solid defender who also likes to get forward. So we're pleased to have secured his services for another couple of months."

With Watkins staying, the Fleet have extended Danny Glozier's loan to Tonbridge Angels for a further month.
