Daryl McMahon was pleased that Ebbsfleet left Melbourne Park still in the FA Cup
The tie was a cagey affair between the two Vanarama National League South rivals but the Fleet boss preferred to dwell on the bigger picture after making five changes ahead of the tie.
A hamstring injury in the warm-up denied Danny Haynes his chance, with Michael West a late replacement. Academy graduate Casey Johnson was named on the bench, having played in a FA Youth Cup win over Faversham the previous evening.
McMahon said: "I don't think we cancelled each other.
"We were certainly the better side in the first half, and dominated the game.
"Michael had a good chance and Jordan Parkes had a couple as well considering his good scoring form.
"The biggest thing for me out of the game was that I was able to include five players, who hadn't had much action."
McMahon was also pleased with debutant goalkeeper Jon Miles, who replaced Brandon Hall - ruled out by illness, which has also denied him a late England C training camp call-up.
"Goalkeeper Jon came in and did well, commanded his area well and looked confident.
He comes from good Tottenham stock, so we have no worries about him," said McMahon.
On the replay at Stonebridge Road on Tuesday evening, McMahon added: "The FA Cup is the biggest competition in the world - we are looking forward to it."
The Third Qualifying Round draw is due to take place by 1pm on Monday.
