Ebbsfleet boss Daryl McMahon hopes speculation over his future has been put to bed – describing it as nonsense.
McMahon conceded he was under pressure after back-to-back defeats by Gosport and Chelmsford a week ago.
But with public backing from owner Dr Abdulla Al-Humaidi and 4-1 and 3-0 wins over Wealdstone and Bishop’s Stortford, Fleet are up to fifth in National League South and firmly back on track.
McMahon said: “It’s been a good week after the previous week, a couple of good performances.
“As far as I’m concerned last week is behind us. I’ll just keep working hard, like I have done all year.
“It was the first time I’ve lost back-to-back games as a manager. I know it’s only been a short career but it was a lot of nonsense.
“The chairman’s been brilliant with what he’s said to me. He’s excellent to work for.
“I’ve given the club good service as a player and getting the academy going and hopefully I will do so as a manager for many years to come.”
