Salisbury 2 Ebbsfleet Utd 1
EBBSFLEET UNITED threw away a one-goal lead as they went down against Salisbury in the Blue Square Premier on Tuesday.
The game was overshadowed by a serious injury to Fleet midfielder Neil Barrett, who was stretchered off the field with a suspected ankle injury.
Fleet opened the scoring after just four minutes when Chukki Eribenne played the ball through for Luke Moore and he was brought down in the area by Aaron Cook. Mark DeBolla stepped up to take the penalty and his thunderous shot was too strong for Ryan Clarke.
The home side pulled level five minutes before half-time when a cross from Jonathan Bass was headed home by Robbie Matthews.
Salisbury started the second half brightly and took the lead on 51 minutes when a mistake from Fleet captain Paul McCarthy allowed Matt Tubbs to slot home from the centre of the penalty area.
Manager Liam Daish made changes in an effort to get something out of the game but Salisbury were rarely tested.
n Fleet travel to Rushden on Saturday in the Blue Sqaure Premier.
