Former Ebbsfleet manager Dennis Kutrieb is back in football management.
The 44-year-old has been named head coach of Viktoria Berlin, who play in the Regionalliga Nordost – the fourth tier of German football.
It’s a return home for Kutrieb who was in charge of the Fleet for three and a half years before he was sacked at the end of January this year.
“I had a great time in England and was able to take a lot with me for the future,” said Kutrieb.
“Now I'm really looking forward to coming home and taking on this exciting challenge at Viktoria.
“We have a young, talented team and will work hard to achieve our ambitious goals.”
Kutrieb guided the Fleet to the National League South title in 2022/23, just 12 months after losing the play-off final to Dorking Wanderers.
But, after a bright start to life in the National League, Ebbsfleet struggled either side of Christmas and Kutrieb was replaced by Danny Searle, who was quickly made the club’s new permanent manager.
Joining Viktoria means a return to Kutrieb’s hometown, the German having previously taken charge of Tennis Borussia Berling before he was lured to England.
