Ebbsfleet insist they will not sell any of their key players during the January transfer window.
The club haven’t ruled out making further additions to their squad following the purchase of Anthony Cook from Bromley earlier this month.
But might there be bids for some of the players who have helped fire the Fleet to the top of National League South over the past four months?
"I hope not because nobody’s leaving here," said vice-chairman Peter Varney. "All it does is unsettle the player.
"In the position we’re in, the message very much is – and we know certain players have been looked at – we won’t let anybody leave here.
"We don’t need to and if that crops up, it’s something that will have to be looked at in the summer, not in January, because that will just derail our ambitions."
Ebbsfleet have a 25-man squad and five of those players are out on loan but boss Daryl McMahon could add to that number before the end of the season.
Mr Varney said: "The squad’s evolving. You’ll see who’s going out on loan and who’s not playing, so I think it’s becoming clear.
"Daryl will have a view on what we need to do when we go up but you can’t just disrupt what we’ve got. A lot of these boys have done well at this level and I’m sure they’ll do well at the next level.
"We will be prepared (for next season). It’s just a case of what we do and when.
"It’s so hard to say that now because I can’t tell you what’s going to happen between now and the end of the season. It can change negatively or it can change massively positively."
