Eastbourne Borough v Ebbsfleet
Ebbsfleet boss Liam Daish says his on-loan players will play a big part in the club’s battle for survival.
The Fleet are 19th in the Blue Square Premier, one point above the relegation zone, and face two games in the space of three days, starting with a trip to Eastbourne Borough tonight (Thursday).
Daish has recently brought in three players on loan with Luis Cumbers, Jamie Stevens and Charlton’s Rashid Yussuff all arriving at Stonebridge Road.
And with injuries mounting up, Daish knows how important the trio could be during the Fleet’s run-in.
He said: “I think the addition of Luis is a big plus for us. He’s got good pace and will be an asset. With the amount of games we have got coming up, Jamie and Rashid will provide important cover.
“We have got a few injuries at the moment and it is taking its toll. We need a squad which is going to get us through these games. There is no time in between to get people fit.”
Derek Duncan (knee), Giuseppe Sole (back) and Cumbers (leg) are all struggling with injuries ahead of the Eastbourne game.
