Midfielder Jordan Parkes has left Ebbsfleet after featuring just once this season.
The 27-year-old has rejoined his former club Hemel Hempstead after falling out of contention at Stonebridge Road.
Parkes played in the opening day 4-0 win over Poole Town and was then an unused substitute in the 1-0 success at Concord in game two.
But he has not been included in a matchday line-up since by Fleet boss Daryl McMahon.
He arrived at Stonbridge Road just over a year ago and made a blistering start to his Fleet career, scoring eight goals in his first 11 games including a derby winner against Dartford last August. He made 43 Fleet appearances in total and scored 12 goals.
Fleet vice-chairman Peter Varney said: “We have terminated Jordan Parkes’s contract by mutual agreement and he has subsequently agreed a contract with Hemel Hempstead Town to return to his former club.
"I would like to thank Jordan for his efforts whilst with the club and wish him well in his future career.”
Fleet paid Hemel Hempstead a transfer fee last summer to secure his services and such was his blistering form that they said a year ago that Parkes was not for sale.
