Manager Daryl McMahon described Ebbsfleet's win over Hartlepool as their best performance of the season.
Fleet were better all over the pitch against a Pools side who'd won 4-0 win midweek.
This was Ebbsfleet's biggest win since promotion to the National League and it lifted them above Hartlepool into 12th, four points outside the play-offs.
McMahon said: "It was probably the best (performance) we’ve had. Going through 1-11 and the subs who came on, everyone impacted the game.
"Powelly coming on for that half-an-hour, he settled straight in, got on the ball, linked with Shieldsy for the second goal. I thought the whole team were very good.
"A lot of the Hartlepool players had probably never heard of Ebbsfleet. Sometimes you get that and subconsciously, as a player, that’s on your mind so they might take you for granted a little bit.
"I just want us to be as consistent as we can and that’s down to working hard, doing your job properly and performing."
McMahon was furious after Fleet's 1-0 defeat at Woking on Tuesday, criticising their performance levels and work ethic and his players couldn't have responded better.
He said: "I was pretty angry on Tuesday night and pretty angry on Thursday morning at training - and that’s why I was, because I know we can do that.
"The performance on Tuesday was way below where I expect us to be and today shows you we can compete at this level. We’re not a bad side when we’re focused and doing our jobs properly.
"I wanted the players to be themselves. I know that might sound a little bit silly but sometimes when things aren’t going well, people start doing things they can’t do.
"It was important the players played to their strengths. Do what you’re good at for 90 minutes regardless of what the score is, just make sure you’re focused on what you’re doing for 90 minutes - and work as hard as you can. I thought we did that today.
"I get disappointed with them and for them (after games like Woking) because I want them to perform. I want them to play well, the same as everyone else.
"When you don’t, it does hurt everyone and they’ve shown what character they’ve got, as well as their quality, to bounce back and perform like that."
