Ebbsfleet have signed Elliott Romain from local rivals Dartford.
The striker announced his departure from Princes Park yesterday and he’s quickly been unveiled at Fleet.
He was named in the National South team of the year in 2019/20 after scoring 15 goals in Darts’ run to the play-off final.
The 29-year-old is known for his phenomenal work rate which, coupled with his goal threat, makes him an excellent piece of business by Dennis Kutrieb.
Romain came through the academies at Brighton and Millwall before moving into non-league football with Three Bridges.
Spells at Eastbourne and Lewes followed, then John Still took him to Dagenham.
He went on loan to Torquay and Welling before joining Maidstone, scoring moments after coming on for his debut in an FA Cup win over Leyton Orient.
A further spell at Eastbourne was followed by a move to Dartford, where he formed a deadly partnership with Fleet old boy Darren McQueen.
Romain scored just one goal in 2020/21 for Dartford in 11 starts and seven substitute appearances.
Meanwhile, midfielder Ben Chapman has signed a new contract at Ebbsfleet.
The former Gillingham player, 22, made 16 appearances for Fleet last season, also slotting in at left-back and centre-back.
