NATIONWIDE Conference leaders Accrington Stanley showed their quality to defeat Gravesend at Stonebridge Road on Friday and now lead the table by 14 points.

The visitors took a 35th minute lead when the pressure from three consecutive corners finally told as Andy Todd rose to head home Gary Roberts's cross.

The Paul Mullin took over and doubled Stanley's lead with 24 minutes left before turning in another Roberts centre in the 80th minute to put the game beyond the home side.

Ross Smith headed a last minute consolation for Liam Daish's men and Andy Drury earlier forced a fine save from Robert Elliot, but it was a deserved three points for the visitors.
