Ebbsfleet defender Kenny Clark may not play again this season.
Clark injured his knee in training last week and missed Saturday's FA Trophy game against Warrington.
He was at the ground with his right leg in a brace and will discover his fate this week.
Fleet manager Daryl McMahon said: "He's going to see a specialist on Wednesday so we won't know exactly what it is until then but it doesn't look good.
"I wouldn't expect him to be back this season.
"It's the way it's going for us this year. We've had an unbelievable amount of bad injuries and freakish incidents in training but we'll see what happens on Wednesday.
"That's me giving you the worst case scenario but it doesn't look good at the minute."
Chris Bush took Clark's place at centre-half against Warrington but had to come off before half-time.
"He ran into Clarky, which caused the injury," McMahon said. "Bushy's got a knee problem as well so we'll assess him on Monday morning and see what he's like.
"To be fair to Sam Magri, I thought he was excellent at centre-half."
Clark, who was sidelined by a hamstring injury earlier this season, has made 28 appearances in 2017/18 and 148 in total for Ebbsfleet.
