GRAVESEND & Northfleet have cancelled the contract of central defender Lee Shearer who had been on loan at Dover. That agreement expired last week.

The Fleet announced in a statement that the decision was taken owing to "restricted first team opportunities".

Shearer, 27, is a former England schoolboy international who started his career with Leyton Orient. He later played for Dover and Margate being joining the Fleet in July last year.
