Chris Smith scored the winner as Earl Grey made amends for last season’s defeat in the Dampier Palmer Hospital Cup Final with victory second time around as they beat Real Man of Kent 1-0 at AEI.

Smith took his chance with a 35th minute free-kick that took several deflections before finding the net.

Earl Grey came more into the game after the break when Man of Kent goalkeeper Sam Attwater did well to keep out a shot from Garry Aldous.

Gravesend League stalwart Bill Baldwin presented the trophy to Earl Grey skipper Lewis Spencer.
